ASP Suspension is a successful family-owned Australian business started by Pradeep Hemantha Walliwala Gamage, specialising in automotive suspension rubber bushes manufacturing, selling, and fitting for mechanics and end-users in Australia.

Pradeep’s story started with an early affinity for machinery, sparked by tinkering with his father’s vehicles in his childhood village in Sri Lanka in the late sixties. In the late sixties there were no new vehicles being imported to Sri Lanka so Pradeep’s father engaged in diesel engine conversions for old petrol lorries, upgrading suspensions, and fabricating new lorry bodies. Pradeep keenly observed technicians, modifications for diesel conversions, refining his analytical skills.

Upon initially establishing a smash repairing business in Australia, Pradeep recognised the rising demand for suspension bushes and engine mounts. At this time, leveraging his family’s industrial background and his technical qualifications, he seized the opportunity to create high-quality rubber compounds, leading to the establishment of ASP Suspension.

Pradeep’s experience spans four decades, covering vehicle mechanisms from the fifties to current luxury models. In 2003, Pradeep introduced a ground breaking business model in Australia, utilizing specialized Gig sets to minimize engine mount replacements, providing a cost advantage for mechanical workshops and a competitive edge in the market.

Through visiting thousands of mechanical workshops door-to-door from 2003 to 2013, ASP Suspension presence in major Australian cities. Despite the absence of a website, ASP became well-known in the automotive industry.

Currently ASP designs, manufactures, and controls the quality of its products, molds, and dies at its Xintai factory in China, with a strong commitment to reliable and quality products.
